Created by André Franquin in 1952, this iconic character has enjoyed a long-standing success. This rich universe continues to evolve through constant reinvention, appealing to both older and younger generations.

To save his job, David agrees to retrieve a mysterious package from South America. Little does he know that it contains a baby Marsupilami…

 

 

For fans of this universe, the latest Marsupilami movie, starring Jamel Debbouze and Élodie Fontan, and directed by Philipe Lacheau, premiered on February 4. It has been a remarkable success, with over 1.4 million admissions in its first week, nearly 2.5 million in its second week, and 5.6 million admissions by the end of March. This marks the best opening for a French film since Astérix & Obélix: L’Empire du Milieu in 2023, and a career milestone for Philippe Lacheau.

Nine-year-old twins Jade and Mica must protect the three young Marsupilamis entrusted to them, as they are being hunted by Captain Stan and the Jaguar.

 

 

Produced by Ellipse Animation and Belvision, this new animated series has been airing on Gulli in France since November 5, 2025, and made its international debut on Nickelodeon on March 9, 2026.

 

Directed by Célestine Plays, with head writers Andrew Barnett Jones and Ciaran Murtagh, and art direction by Guilhem Deckers, the series is presented in a 52 x 11-minute format, perfectly suited for younger audiences.

 

 

And the adventure doesn’t stop there! Preparations are already on their way for Marsupilamis 75th anniversary in 2027. Expect plenty of surprises to celebrate this milestone!
