June 22, 1940. In their village of Pontrain l’Écluse, François, a 13-year-old farmer's son, and Eusèbe, the teacher’s son, watch as German troops arrive. Revolted by the inhabitants’ passivity, François decides to take action with the help of Eusèbe and Lisa, a young German girl who fled the Nazi regime. In this small French village, occupied by the German army, these three children refuse to surrender to the enemy. But how do you resist such a powerful opponent when you’re only thirteen?
