Marsupilami defends the coastlines !

From October 21st to February 26th 2024, in partnership with Mediatoon Licensing, Paris’ Aquarium offers an exhibition about coastal ecosystems and their protection called “Marsupilami defends the coastlines!”

 

Marsupilami and the environmental cause.

Since his creation, Marsupilami calls on environmental questions through its adventures, protecting his family and living environment. He defends his environment and ecosystems that are in danger against the invasive human interventions. In this exhibition, Marsupilami defends the coastlines, various and precious environment, sheltering a large biodiversity. But they also are spaces highly threatened which must be protected. For the Paris’ Aquarium, Marsupilami shows existing solution.

Many educational features.

Mediatoon Licensing and the Paris’ Aquarium team up to propose an educational visit adapted to all the family. Many games like educational features are implemented:

  • A paper chase Marsupilami notebook is available at checkout. Following the clues, children learn about the ocean on the permanent tour.
  • A participative animation in which Ana, explorer, must find an old and precious treasure in the Amazon jungle, no matter if she must destroy nature on her way. A curse falls onto the forest. To save it, Ana must realize the fragility of ecosystems and their importance.
  • Marsupilami’s cartoon episodes are broadcast in the aquarium’s cinema.
  • Educational and creative activities are available all along the visit. It can also be downloaded with a QR code or on the Aquarium’s website to continue the visit at home.

For the more curious…

A parallel educational tour is available. It allows to deepen your knowledge on certain subjects linked with the exhibition and to have access to the last scientifical articles with Studium QR codes. Mediators are also present all along the visit to answer visitors questions.

Paris’ Aquarium

In the heart of Paris, the aquarium presents 80 ponds regrouping over 13 000 fishes and invertebrates. It also holds the biggest jellyfish collection in the world right after Japan. Numerous educative animations are organized. Wit its various activities, the Paris Aquarium is part of the accomplishment of the goals for Sustainable Development of the UNO and ones for the decade of the Ocean of UNESCO.
